White Chimneys isn't just a venue; it's a piece of history. Built in 1909 by James Cherry Lanier and his wife, Mary Fannie Trammell, with architect Mr. Choate of Atlanta, this home was designed for the grand social events of the early 1900s. You'll notice the architectural details, like the unfolded Doric-style columns, and understand why some locals refer to it as the "House of Seven Gables." However, it was Mrs. Lanier who lovingly named it White Chimneys. The preservation of the interior, with its original oak paneling and lighting fixtures, allows you and your guests to step back in time while celebrating your special day.
